Michelangelo Buonarroti

Michelangelo Buonarroti was born in Florence 1475 and he died in Rome in 1564. One of the main characters of the Italian Renaissance and he was one of the best artists. Some of his best and most important artworks was the “David” sculpture, “la Pieta” another important sculpture and the paintings that he did in the “Cappella Sistina”.In a demonstration of Michelangelo’s unique standing, he was the first Western artist whose biography was published while he was alive. He had been discovered at the age of 13 by Lorenzo de’ Medici who incharged him of many paintings.
